A Muslim man’s beard was forcibly shaved in Gururgram, before this 7 days, according to media reports.
Jafruddin Hamid, who runs a dhaba in the vicinity of IFFCO chowk, has alleged that he was pressured to shave his beard and his assailants called him a Pakistani.
Hamid had reportedly gone to invest in greens in Khandsa Mandi with his cook, Ibrahim, when they were being accosted by the miscreants on Tuesday.
Hamid explained to The Instances of India, “Ibrahim preferred a haircut, so we went to a barber’s shop near the marketplace.The two men have been inside of the store and were being receiving a haircut. A person of them asked me to minimize my beard. When I refused citing my religion, the duo referred to as me a Pakistani and begun thrashing me.”
Hindustan Occasions documented the assailants have been recognized as Gaurav alias Tedha, Nitin Kumar and Ikhlash, a barber.
HT noted that it was Hamid, not Ibrahim, who went in for the haircut.
“They held the two my fingers and forced the barber to shave off my beard. Even though the barber originally refused, they threatened him and assaulted me multiple time,” he instructed the newspaper.
The assailants reportedly threatened Hamid and barber with a knife if they did not comply. They also informed him not to clearly show his facial area in Khandsa Mandi once more.
“I was frightened just after the incident as they threatened to get rid of me if I was found in the location yet again. I got upset and remaining for my village,” he advised HT.
After talking about the make any difference with the panchayat in his village, Hamid submitted a law enforcement complaint on Wednesday. The culprits have been arrested within two hrs, in accordance to the police.
